The Invitation

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ

the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort

who comforts, consoles, encourages, strengthens, calls us near, invites us to come

in all our troubles, anguish, burdens, persecutions, tribulations, pressures, distress

so that we can comfort, entreat, call near those in any trouble

with the comfort, the invitation we ourselves have received from God

come into being, arise, come forth

find your place, become known

From 2 Corinthians 1:3-4.
