His Love-Banner

His love-banner over me?

Not the empty flagpole

tipping over in the sand

I cling to, but

billowing, joyful

He waves it himself

wooing, shouting

laughing, triumphant

Come!

Stand with me

here on this Rock

Come!

Let me

wrap you

clothe you

keep you

lead you on

“He welcomes me to His banqueting table. His banner over me is love.” Song of Solomon 2:4 (paraphrased)
